It's about time that the current regime be removed. Anwar is definitely the man for the top job - the proof of this statement is in the fact that Mahathir 'removed' him from politics 10 years ago, fearing the demise of his own position. With today's sentencing of Raja Petra under the ISA for 2 years, however, it remains to be seen whether Anwar can avoid the draconian monster that is the ISA. If he can, then it's just a matter of time.

An entrenched regime with archaic ideas, patronages, and draconian laws against peaceful opposition has passed its use by date. Anwar offers refreshing change that can take the country forward. He deserves support.

Anwar Ibrahim is a rare man of ideal and conviction, he had walked through the halls of power and had spent the darkest hours behind bars. He knows how government works and knows what social justice is all about. His self-sacrificing courage and his exemplary loyalty to champion the cause of humanity has earned him the hallmark of the greatest leader in M'sia

I sit now in my office, with Anwar's rally just several kilometers away. Just earlier, my grandmother just rang me about there being soldiers and police on the streets. It is clear that we need some change. Whether or not Anwar Ibrahim will do us good, time will tell. Anything is better.

Despite all odds and the machinery at the BN Govt's disposal to spoil his day, I think Anwar will be the next PM of Malaysia because he has the rakyat (citizens) behind him.

I don't know what are arguing for? I think both sides have their problem or disadvantages. What they are good at is attack each side personal stuff etc. Does any side care of the environment that really need the most attention right now? Malaysians need to open their mind, see what others don't..or see from other perspective.I'm a Malysian myself and I'm very dissapointed what had happened.

The situation for Malaysia and its citizens and future generations to come is grim under the current government and system of governance. All sectors will continue to decline, the most important being economy, education, judiciary system and social security. If God were to guarantee a change of government now, I would give an arm and a leg for that. I would vote for anyone or any other party, Malay, Chinese, Indian, Sikh, Pribumi. Its not about race, its about justice, sacrifice for the future of my country and elimination of a corrupt regime. We need a change of guard before we emulate Mugabe's Zimbabwe. Nevermind the NEP, we just need a change. God be with us and clear our thoughts and visions.
