The global warming alarmists have done nothing but hold up a piece of paper with the output of of a dodgy computer program on it and said "see, it's going to happen". With all the historical evidence such as Erik the red finding Greenland in 913AD, and called it GREENland because it was GREEN, not white and covered in ice, and could graze sheep and goats, at the same time grapes could be grown in the north of England and wine be made, neither of which can be done now, indicating the world has been warmer than it is now, and we still have polar bears and the Great Barrier Reef. And if there was not much ice in GREENland, how much less ice was there in the rest of the Arctic then compared to now, and Torres Strait Islanders have lived where they have for "thousands of years", but are soon to be flooded out due to rising sea levels. Claims in the media that the Nortwest passage is now open for the 1st time in recorded history is rubbish, Amundsen passed through it in the early 20th century, coinciding with the massive drought at the time of Federation. Paddle steamers could almost get to Quensland on the Darling, then they couldn't during another dry spell, and on and off again several times. Recent findings of the Vostok Ice Core project proved that every time there was a warming period in history of the world, that the CO2 levels lagged the temp rise by between 200 - 2000 years. i.e., carbon dioxide rise is a consequence of warming, not a cause. Sea levels have been measured on Tuvalu for the past 30 years with the assitance from University of SA, and it has gone no where. Also check out the mean sea level mark on the Isle of the dead, Port Arthur, put there in 1841. Its still the mean sea level. The computer models used have at least 4 serious defficencies. 1) don't take into account of the variable output from the sun, 2) don't take into account the secondary effects of the variable output, 3) assume an infinitely thick atmosphere, when it is only 100km thick. When this proper boudary condition is applied, there is a negative feedback into the system, and 4) questionable practices are done with statistics, and off course for anyone who has done anything with numerical mathematical models, there are the fudge factors! It is nothing more than a con, and designed to keep the plebs poor, and is about money, power, greed and one world government. One last comment "We'll all be rooned, said Hanrahan"

Most of you in australia are born dumb, do your research! Australia does not have a proplem its us. The aussie weather proplem is it's so unstable with prolong summer droughts, and the same again in winter plus the storms. If we worked as one the proplem would be answered, but theres to many people of different views like mr Rudd. Why did vote for him? What has he done thats set in concrete for the furture of australia, example tassie forests, the murry river, oils and other run offs from local big

Whether climate change is a natural phenomenon or caused by human activity - or some combination - is not really the issue. The point is, it's happening; and if we want to continue to have our civilization on Earth we have to do something about it, regardless of the cause - if we have the technology. The best thing we can do right now is to stop burning fossil fuels and start utilising a form of energy which will produce no greenhouse gases at all - again, if we have the technology. But do we? There is a source of energy which fits the bill - *lots* of it - which was suspected even in the late 19th century, seriously conjectured in 1947 by Dutch physicist Hendrik Casimir, and demonstrated beyond any doubt in 1956 by another Dutch physicist, Marcus Spaarnay. Mainstream science accepts this - but only reluctantly, preferring to relegate it to "crank" - or at least "fringe" - science. This energy is known as "zero point energy". It pervades the universe in *vast* quantities; a one-cubic-metre volume of space contains enough ZPE to boil the earth's oceans, if it could all be extracted at once (source: Nobel laureate physicist Richard Feynman). The science is in. The technology is, so it seems, still to be developed, although there are some who claim to have made beginnings. We need it to happen ASAP. one Solution to a climate change problem........... Why not get into 'AIR CARS' The Air Car, called the MiniCAT could cost around $ 8177.00 and would have a range of around 300 km between refuels. The cost of a refill would be about $2 There are no keys - just an access card which can be read by the car from your pocket. According to the designers, it costs less a tenth that of a petrol car. Its mileage is about double that of the most advanced electric car (200 to 300 km or 10 hours of driving), a factor which makes a perfect choice in cities where the 80% of motorists drive at less than 60Km. The car has a top speed of 105 kmph. Refilling the car will, once the market develops, take place at adapted petrol stations to administer compressed air. In two or three minutes the car will be ready to go another 200-300 kilometers. As a viable alternative, the car carries a small compressor which can be connected to the mains (220V or 380V) and refill the tank in 3-4 hours. Due to the absence of combustion and, consequently, of residues, changing the oil (1 litre of vegetable oil) is necessary only every 50,000Km.] The temperature of the clean air expelled by the exhaust pipe is between 0-15 degrees below zero, which makes it suitable for use by the internal air conditioning system with no need for gases or loss of power. BETTER if we all go SOLAR as well. if you want more info just do a search for 'air cars'

Dear George, You are master of jounalisme and I thank you for yours courage. Actualy everybody talk about "Global Warming", "Climat Changes" and Carbon emissions. In floods of this discutions nobody talk about fattal responsabilty of HAVIE BOMBINg, the WARS, and Military industrie, on Climat Changes. You remember the American Nuclear ecsperimants in Australia and fatal consecevences on Australian inviroment and bigist OZON HOLL UP Australia. What to say about Carbon and vibration bombes, the rakets etc. It's make holl in the OZON SKY LAYER and we have Haricans, tornados,...Hana, Cattarina,Gustav, Ajk etc. Why nobody talk about?????

    11:41:06 AM Sunday, 14th September, 2008

Rising sea levels and increasing storm surges will effects many low lying area's in Australia, as well as globally. This needs to be investigated in order to help us make future plans. For example, How will the "lower-lakes of the Murry-Darling" system, in SA, be effected by the rising sea levels? We are wanting to save them by trying to get more water flowing down the river systems, which I support, as long as it is not the case that in 15 years the lakes will be lost anyway by rising sea-levels. The Government needs to make sure that ALL of the possible effects of Global Warming / Climate Change are investigated

'Global Warming' one could be labelled a cynic for assuming that this is nothing more than a ploy by Governments backed by academia to take the real issue away from the public eye. And what is that? Well put simply with less H2O in 50 years we will quite frankly become so malodorous that not even a starving polar bear would eat us. Get real if we pong we are all gong.
