Jason - So Israel should have annexed entire countries around her to be considered a rogue state in your view. I’m sure it would have done so if it thought it could control such a large open air prison. Its reserves the exclusive right to nuclear weapons and openly advocates regime change in neighbouring countries, carry out illegal targeted assignations, kidnap, car bombings and other countless acts of terrorism and anything else it choses being \"chosen people\"? You cannot hide from the truth clearly exhibited in examination of the demographic maps of Palestine at 10 year intervals since 1940 a complete corruption of a nobel idea that once was Israel.

No Shirley, Israel has not just wanted to live in peace. According to the fairy tale, they are God's chosen people and the land was given to them by God/Moses. Unfortunately someone has been living there for the past 2000 years and are understandably dismayed when you come looking for your keys and kick the door down in the process. Try a dose of reality and realise that a GOD who exercises racial preferences is a JOKE and that heaven is a state of BEING and not a place. As for the fairy tale...its time to grow up.

It doesn't matter if the story is biased - it's a PLAY. Based on the emails and diary entries of a single person. Should we be looking for greater context in "The Diary of Anne Frank"? Should Anne have further delved into the economic devastation leading to the rise of Hitler to power? No. It's a tribute to one person's view of the world, however limited that view may be. It's the story of one person who tried to make a difference, and whether or not you agree with her politics, the point is to acknowledge that she put herself in harm's way to stand up for what she believed in. Regardless of whether the house should have been demolished, the Israeli government should have some plan in place for securing each site and safely removing protesters prior to destruction. Then the argument would be about lost property and not lost lives.

Only democracy in the so-called democratic state would address the problem - elections in which all people born in Israel and their descendants, and all exiles from Israel and their descendants, get the vote - and nobody else. If they won't allow that, their claim to legitimacy rests only on their firepower and the State of Israel has no more moral right to exist than did the Third Reich.

Rachel Corrie's protest in Gaza was sadly misinformed and a waste of life. The negative comments that have escalated in the past 20 years against Israel are truly biased, false and hateful reports. Palestineans have fed their children with a diet of malicious hate against Jews despite the fact that Israel supplies them with free water, free electricity, jobs, prosperity, opportunities to progress together. Ask the true poor in Gaza are they better off, since Israel left, and what country or city would be prepared to have their cities bombed daily and sit back and take it. I'm not a Jew or an Arab, but Israel has only wanted to live in peace, which is the opposite from what Palestineans want and they make it quite clear on video clips, news, schools and television...hullo!!!

How long does this murderous farce have to go on for. The answer is simple, as long as we let it.. It can be stopped tomorrow.. simply be treating all concerned as equals. The West is suffering because of its indulgence in Israel, when criticisms are leveled at Israel they in turn are labeled anti Semitic, there are many (close to 100) UN resolutions demanding that Israel behave in a more humane and civil manner.. they are usually defeated by Veto from just one country. Israel is being turned into a monster by the west…and the West has no control of this beast .. or the monstrous acts it perpetrates on the Palestinians, which are in turn viewed by Muslim Nations as being condoned by the west…. Israel has deceived the west for a very long time.. Israelis have used terrorism in the past to provoke the west into the creation of the State of Israel starting with the bombing of a hotel in Palestine in 1946, they have tried to kill Americans and English in Egypt when Egypt was trying to sidle up to the Americans in search of aid, the Lavon Affair in 1954. In 1967 the Israeli attack of the USS Liberty is a repeat of the same tactic.. can Israel be trusted ?

Jason from Melbourne is well informed. Europeans of the Jewish religion did suffer oppression and murder. That is no reason to oppress and murder Palestinians.
