Is America Ready For A Black President?? Looking into the past, especially with GW Bush victory in Florida, was America ready for any particular president? Or assasination of Dr King? When was the last time Black Man WAS READY to be American President?? Will Obama go down in history as another MAN not ready to be president? This election is beyond Black and White, but there are forces who wants to prolong Blak and White battle, because it is giving them power to redirect voters attention from REAL issues by infusing Fear Factor of "Black Man". It is not easy to be "Black" candidate in such environment and I give all of the credits to Obama with his "colorless" slogan Ready For Change. This "Black Man" is ready to be president of US.

America should be ready for a president of any sex, race or religion and if they are not it is an unfortunate reflection on their society.

If Obama is Black(half) then the other half is White. If one half of him is Muslim the other half is Christian. To top it all, it is alleged that his campaign is largely funded by the rich Jewish lobby. So he will have to be a president, if elected, whiter than white, more Christian than the majority and more anti-Palestine and therefore more pro-Israel, to prove his American-Patriotic credentials. One should feel sorry for him for having to walk so many knife edges! Rashid

I Do not think all Americans are ready, definitely there is a percentage that believe in him, however i just frankly feel sad when I see blatantly stupid people saying they don't want him because his last name is 'Hussein' these kind of people are gullible and overtly stupid and will instinctually hate or distrust anything different.

Why is Obama 'Black'? His mother was white so he is half and half why does one half matter more than the other half? I think even calling him 'Black' is racist and the media promote this division based on skin color by continuing to do so. Dr King said that he looked forward to a time when people were 'not judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character' and Obama seems to have the best character of any of the candidates. I also think the story was racist in assuming that all division between black and white is attributable to white racism - black people can be v racist too and the fact that many areas are black only can be just as attributable to blacks non-acceptance of whites as whites non-acceptance of blacks.
