Security remains on high alert throughout Afghanistan's capital, with businesses, restaurants, hotels and even residences employing security guards and installing re-enforced glass plates in the event of a suicide attack.

While reporting in Afghanistan, Martinkus constantly faces obstacles. Filming is prohibited in many parts of the country and security guards and officials treat any suspicious behavior very seriously.
