I am an Arizona activist working to raise awareness and urge political pressure to end the Genocide in Darfur, the crisis in the DRC, and the displaced residents and child soldiers of Uganda. I am reaching out to all organizations that I can find, that also work to aid Africa. I am looking for refugees, survivors, loved ones, journalists - anyone that has experiences in these areas, to share them on my "know their stories" page. I believe the world needs to put a name and a personal story to the tragedies. I also plan to send each story I get, individually to our president, with the hopes that I can overwhelm him. I started this organization after I heard a local refugee say, “I believe if the people know what is happening, they will help to stop it.” Our mission is to be their messenger: get their stories out, make their voices heard and believe that people will then pay attention and apply political and international pressure to implement change. I think just being aware of it is a very significant first step. I would love to share more of your experiences on my site, or help in any way I can. We all have blood on our hands. There shall be no resolution to this monstrosity while we continue to support the corporate destabilisation of central Africa for our cheep convenience (eg tantalum in our miniature electronics).
What everybody is saying do this and that etc. Only viable solution is to disarm rebels as well as pressurize the Sudanese government. Western media is biased towards rebels who wage war against developing countries.

Can the world do more to help the poeple of Dafur? What has the world done for the poeple of Dafur, all we've seen is hypocrisy. Our brothers, our women, our children are still in Dafur- It about time we deal with the causes. We know what the problem is so lets put a stop to this madness
I have been following the hideous situation of Dafur for a few years now and was almost relieved that, whilst watching Dateline tonight, the tears were still able to flow freely. I have been concerned that there is a chance of becoming desensitised! Thank God I haven't yet but the frustration levels are rising at the lack of a resolution to this crisis despite the efforts of many people in the international community.May they and now hopefully others never give up.
I don't get why there aren't more agencies like World Vision offering people to sponsor children and families in Darfur. It seems like a lot goes into other parts of the world, and I'm not saying they don't deserve it. But after watching tonights story it looks like Sudan really needs a lot of aid. Half a billion to feed them per year? Surely in global terms that's not a lot, and each person in the western world could contribute something from their own pokcet
100% step up
a really heart felt story: i cant believe this sort of thing is going on
this kind of crisis is all around the world, yes the world should do more for darfur but then it should step up its commitment everywhere else too
