I am not a China fan, but the way George interviewed the Chinese people was rude and un-civilised. He would never dare use that tone with Putin, for example. It's time to scrub off that 60 minute paint, George

I request the Dateline to cover the story of so called "Grey Lady of Baghram" who was kidnapped by the US authorities from Karachi in 2003 and has been held in inhumane conditions for the past 5 years. It was only after the Human rights organisation such as cage prisoners have raised their voice, the US had finally accepted that it does hold such a person. There is not much news coverage in any of the main stream media and also in SBS about this woman from Pakistan who had been abused and tortured by the US

I am interested to know if Dateline will be following the fate of the convoy of boats intending to sail from Cyprus to Gaza soon. It is a group of human rights activists, journalists, nobel peace prize nominees and politicians planning to sail to Gaza under the banner of "Breaking the Seige". The chap that interviewed Anwar really should stick to interviewing Aussie Political circles, for this it appears, is the extent of his political knowledge. Lost count of how many moments I cringed at topics continually raised of such irrelevance!!! George; such disgrace of an interview, only heightens how you consistantly provide viewers flawless delivery of nitty gritty info - thank you :-)

Re. 5 Forbidden topics George uncovered on the Beijing Olympics show this week. This is from an SMH article on internet use in China "Many of the banned websites, words and phrases are related to the government's so-called "five big enemies" or no-gone zones: Tibetan independence, Taiwan independence, China's Muslims in the western province of Xinjiang, the Falun Gong movement and dissidents." Could be these. Regards, Fergus

G’day George, Thanks for putting to air the problem of Maoist insurgency in India. I would like to observe the following: • Gandhiji once said that India lives in her villages. This so called insurgency, devoid of any principles, – which uses the rural population as pawn – along with lack of support

Last night's inteview with the Cardinal displayed a clear lack of research, the obvious bias of the interviewer and a lack of respect for an obviously learned, compassionate and well spoken man. I am all for asking difficult and probing questions, however the Cardinal was not even given a chance to answer the only reasonable and interesting question thrown up. As for the final comment about a theology 101, maybe George should check a dictionary for a definition of the word. The Cardinal did not once mention transubstation, the mystery of the trinity or any other thought regarding the nature of God. There are bigger waste of taxpayer's money than WYD, one example being the salary of journalists who are either incapable or unwilling to inform and educate Australians, as is their mandate.

Last night's Dateline interview with Cardinal Wilfrid Napier was an example of how the interviewer like George Negus was literally shredded to pieces by the Cardinal in all his answers to George's tricky questions. At the end it appeared that George had met his match and called the game over. The learned Cardinal had the correct answers to which G could only deflect to some other topic when he was challenged with crisp and knowledgeable answers. I really enjoyed the answer he gave to the food shortage in Western countries that George was trying to peddle. Finally George did admit that it was a tutorial lesson for him. Do not under estimate these learned persons.

re your interview with the Cardinal, you showed yourself to be an ignorant and biased. We didn't want to hear your one eyed opinions, we wanted to listen to the Cardinal. May I say he was very patient with you and showed us what a true Christian he was, despite the fact he could hardly get a word in edgeways. Get off your high horse George!
