WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Do you think a national representative body is needed to advise the Federal Government on Indigenous issues?

It's about time the "indigenous" people said enough is enough. one nation, black, white, brown or brindle work together as a nation rather than as individual peoples. is it any wonder racism is still thriving. and for those that question the comment. look at the average white in the street. what special rights do they have? unless they are middle eastern, gay/lesbian or asian - none. It's about time that all these "special' peoples pulled their collective heads in and got on with life. no special treatment. for 30 years I've seen dollar after dollar being wasted by aborginal leaders rather than getting to the "grass roots". have you noticed, the more you "give" the less gets done.

What about a democracy leadership within a democracy? One joint leadership voice for the native people of Australia...? Someone who has a broad education in Colonial Australian Law and Native Traditional Law, to help strike a balance and give a direct very pointed voice of the people - for the people so to deliver it to the Colonial Government???

This is a very necessary thing as the Indigenous peoples of this country know what they need and need to have a body that gives them an equal footing and voice in this country because for too long they have been without this!

It would be Nice in theary, but as there are No Two Indigenous Communities the Same, and then even Indigenous Communities in Urban and City's are also different to each other and the Rural and outback communities, it would be dificult to get True Represention. Each Community needs to be looked at Seperatly. Indigenous Societies never were National to start with and are not even close to being So.
