Emma Cook

Emma joined Living Black after finishing her cadetship with the SBS TV newsroom. Having already cut her teeth in daily news, she saw video journalism as a new and exciting challenge- and she hasn't been disappointed so far. Last series saw her file stories from all sides of the continent including Arnhem land, Cape York and the Pilbara.

Emma came to SBS after finishing her post graduate degree in journalism at RMIT in Melbourne. Her first break came working as a researcher for ABC TV's Four Corners - where she was nominated as part of a team for a UN media peace award for the story A Case to Answer. Emma is looking forward to another series of Living Black and to bringing indigenous stories to the screen that aren't being covered in the mainstream media.
