Regarding obesity amongst Aboriginies, surely the root cause is the abuse, racism anddiscrimination and humiliation they have suffered for over 200 years, culminating in the NT Intervention. To suggest a surgical treatment for this afflivtion is both patronising and ludicrous. Surely, the First Australians should `band together` but only to overthrow this system of racial abuse1

My 10 year old daughter Djodamajeerah Bonner is yet to break into the modelling industry. She had been with a modelling agency for a year now, and it has been a very unprodictable wait. There isn't enough Aboriginal men, women or children in the modelling industry. To see Michael Cook working in this industry makes me proud.

I think the Males In Black group is a wonderful group. I hope they get the funds they need. Its very important for children to interact with both parents to turn into healthy adults. GOOD ON YA'S ALL

How typical of the Gov. Burn the people's houses down and then wipe their hands of the issue!

I cant understand why the mapoon Peole are begging for their house and especially their land, the Queensland government burned down their house so that a mining company could make money from itas well as the Queensland government. As far as I can see the Mapoon people should be sending the Queensland and the Federal Government for using the land in the past and repay some of the royalties made from the mining. Also a very big SORRY to those families that were forceful removed by the Police. this is still an exaple of beat Indigenous people and that they have no rights in this Country call Australia,Im a allien from out of space

That Yarn'n Circle is a top idea! Well done to the mob for getting that up and running. Would be good for a lot of other communities to involve the youth. They are after all the future leaders.

I cannot believe that all that wonderful art is only being housed in some tin shed! What a disgrace. Let's hope it's housed somewhere proper. Thanks again to Living Black...without you I wouldn't have even known about this!

As it was the QLD Govt that burnt the Mapoon community to the ground, the QLD govt is morally obliged to replace the homes, whatever the cost.
