  I understand what kate from brisbane feels. I am not hear to deny aboriginals in their own country get treated poorly. But when us "whiteys" try to help I dont know how to. The media gives nothing but bad press to aborigines and I am aware of it, however you must identify the good people from the bad. Us "whiteys" cant change the injustice, but it is better to be part of the solution than part of the problem..right? We need more positive media from the elders so please post more examples of people and elders that we can all follow. I am sick of trying to help and being treated like an idiot who doesnt understand your plight. Help the people who want to help you otherwise nothing will change.

  i am a white woman, and i am crying. i am crying because i attempted to have a conversation with a black woman at a bar about me wanting to help the aboriginal people, all i asked is how i could work with the aboriginal people to reconcile - do you know what she said to me-\"if i was any other black woman i would bash you\" and then she and her black friends laughed at me. there was a moari woman there and she pulled my weak white body away and said \"you will never understand because you are white, your just a white do gooder\". what the f is going on with this world. please please connect with me because i can not believe what is going on in this country. WHAT THE F IS GOING ON WITH THIS COUNTRY! it causes me tears but I\'m just a \"white do gooder\" why is the world like this.
