Legendary Australian tennis player Margaret (62 Grand Slams and a Magnificently Sport-Appropriate Surname) Court has never been shy about opposing gay marriage.

Which is why it's surprising that what should have been a pleasant display of fluttering rainbow flags at a jolly tennis match turned into a bitter Twitter blow-out.  Read more

Since the dawn of Twitter, plentiful tweets have had real-world consequences for their authors (like the recently-ended #twitdef case), but this week, it went the other way around.

In this brand new caper, a hashtag actually led to an arrest by virtue of the fact that it trended - but it wasn't the person who created the stream who got in trouble.  Read more
