WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Have you already decided who you will vote for? At the end of week five of the federal election campaign, most policies announcements have been made. Have made up your mind yet who you are voting for?
COMMENTS
First [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] LastI am voting Greens in both houses and preferencing Labor in the HoR. Without the environment in good shape it will be impossible to have an economy. We are backward on education, training and social justice. The Greens in the Senate will ensure good government from Rudd and Labor.
Liberal. I have experienced too many Labor stuff ups. Rudd reminds me of the saying 'empty vessels make the most sound'. He never gives detail just the same old rhetoric. He's clever but I think shallow.
11 years of this Buisness Driven Conservative Government - Good bloody riddens (I Hope). Don't talk to me about the AWB Scandal, I have direct family members who are wheat growers in far noth NSW, where was the Farmers Federation then?, oh thats right, in bed with Howard.
I hope liberals win. They are good for the country's economy.
Okay, I really have to say something - growing up I've always been taught that Unions are a good thing. When you are at risk of being trampled on by thoughtless overseers too far up the chain of command to see how badly their decisions affect you you NEED a Union to help you out.
This election will be a green election, i think. I will be voting for the greens in the senate, to keep them honest!
I have followed Australian politics for over 35 years now and the outcome of this election will go down as another page in Australia's federal political book. Mr Howard and his team haven't governed for all Australians and many issues that are causing concern amongst Australian voters have been left on the policy shelf. We have also seen problems within the Liberal Party of Australia along with a loss-of-support within the Prime Minister's own Cabinet. Leaving aside the economic record of the government - also noting that many thousands of Australians have missed out and are under increasing pressure, I will vote for the ALP as I want to see a fresh approach to the problems facing Australia. Who-ever wins, they will have to face perhaps, a hostile Senate.
Did any party/candidate mantion affordable public housing ? If they did I never heard it. Looks as though it wasnt an issue.Pity. M.
I have never seen so many stupid reasons for voting one way or the other.... this election is about who is going to help us feed our kids better in the future... thats pretty much the bottom line me thinks. The future fund eases my mind a bit but not if its going to be raided
Yes, I have voted already last week by postal vote. I voted for Labor. I want to John Howard and the Liberal Party thrashed tonight. I destest warfare and anybody that supports wars. Declare Australia a neutral State like Switzerland. Slash all defence connection with other countries.Slash the defence budget by 50%. Troops out of Iraq, Afghanistan and East Timor.
